Integrated Two Design Styles to Build an Effective API Integration
Integrated Two Design Styles to Build an Effective ATS Integration
As Partner Manager for GoodHire, I designed the integration between GoodHire and JazzHR to optimize adoption and user experience.
I managed the relationship with JazzHR and internal communication within the development and sales teams at GoodHire. I iterated on design feedback from JazzHR and GoodHire and learned how to balance and integrate two companies’ design styles. The JazzHR - GoodHire integration increased net partnerships revenue for GoodHire by 21%.
JazzHR and GoodHire Integration
JazzHR is used by hiring managers to manage the interview process with applicants. I integrated GoodHire’s background check software into JazzHR’s flow, adding background check as a step in the hiring process.
As the designer and project lead, I worked with GoodHire and JazzHR’s developers on feasibility and scope and the sales teams on communicating deadlines and aligning business needs.
In designing the API integration, I thought through the user experience of the integration set-up and where the background check should come in the hiring process. Based on GoodHire’s research with HR Personnel, I determined that the background check step should come after the consideration of the applicant but before extending an offer to create the most seamless and unbiased flow.

On the individual candidate level, I added a Background Check tab after Evaluations that has contextualized information about GoodHire and the ability to run reports.
